Sara Willner-Giwerc and Erinn Mangona both had two hits, and Meranda Ruff drove in two runs Monday as Saratoga Springs upset Shenendehowa, 6-1, in a Suburban Council softball game.

The Blue Streaks scored all of their runs in the fourth inning, and Erica Varsames made them stand up as Saratoga became the first North Division team to beat 11-3 Shenendehowa this season.

Niskayuna used a six-run third inning to down Shaker, 7-5.

Emily Thompson had two hits and drove in a pair of runs, and Stacy Gordon had a double among her four hits for 5-9 Niskayuna.

Ballston Spa is also 5-9 after beating Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 3-1.

Ashlyn Gersch gave up just four hits, and a big two-run triple from catcher Jen Groat in the fifth inning. Groat was 3-for-3, and drove in all three Ballston Spa runs.

Brit Ryan tripled, and Erin Sgambelluri doubled for Burnt Hills.

Samara Perry threw out the tying run at the plate in the seventh inning to help Columbia edge Mohonasen, 2-1.

Jennah Hogan singled in a run, and Sierra Jaeger got another home on a fly ball for 12-2, 15-3 Columbia.

Taylor Thompson and Alyssa Sanborin both hit a double for Mohonasen.

Averill Park had Hannah Hoffman drive in two runs, and Kelly Donnelly get three hits in a 6-2 win over Bethlehem. The South Division leader went to 13-1, 15-1.

Bethlehem (8-6, 10-8) got two hits from both Emma Downing and Stephanie Komas.

Marisa Sholtes singled home the winning run in the top of the seventh inning, as Colonie edged Guilderland, 7-6.

Mary Waterman went 4-for-4 with two doubles for 9-5 Colonie. Tori Greco had two hits for 8-6 Guilderland.

Joelle Salisbury struck out 13 and finished with a one-hitter, leading Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons past Catholic Central, 6-0, in the Big 10.

Bishop Gibbons (7-2), which will finish second in the league, hosts Schenectady on Wednesday in its league finale.

Lauren Mahar gave up a single to Cassandra Egelston leading off the game, then pitched no-hit ball for the rest of the contest as Schalmont beat Fonda-Fultonville, 16-0, in the Colonial Council.

Mahar struck out 13, and also had four hits and drove in five runs for the 10-3, 13-4 Lady Sabres, who also got a four-hit, four-RBI game from freshman shortstop Savanna Liverio.

Isabelle Dechiaro’s three-hitter helped Cohoes beat Lansingburgh, 7-0. The Lady Tigers are 14-0, 15-2 overall, with two league games remaining.

Erin Maloney had a home run in her three hits, and drove in three runs as Mechanicville (11-3) beat Ichabod Crane, 10-6.

Jami Frosell added a double and triple for Mechanicville. Jenna Rutkey went 3-for-4 for 8-5 Ichabod Crane.

Haley Irvis struck out 16 as Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk beat Holy Names, 7-4. Kim Bianchi homered as Ravena went to 11-2. Emily Barranca had two hits for Holy Names.

Kaitlyn Kendle capped a three-hit game by knocking in the winning run, as Schoharie beat Saratoga Central Catholic, 7-6, in a Western Athletic Conference crossover game.

Lindsey Vanier also had three hits for 10-3, 11-3 Schoharie, which scored three runs in the last of the seventh.

Sabrina Williams and Ariann Ceroalo both had three hits as Galway downed Sharon Springs, 17-2, in another WAC crossover. Felicia Snyder and Amber Schwab combined on a three-hitter for the Lady Eagles.

Morgan Beaulieu and Tessa Fox-Kondas both drove in two runs to help Stillwater best Hoosick Falls, 6-4, in the Wasaren League.

Chelsea Stevens knocked in three runs for Hoosick Falls.
