Lacrosse: Marr scores four goals, helps Lady Plainsmen advance

Jordyn Marr scored three goals, and Shenendehowa shut down Bethlehem after halftime in a 9-7 Section

Jordyn Marr scored three goals, and Shenendehowa shut down Bethlehem after halftime in a 9-7 Section II Class A quarterfinal win Tuesday.

Katie Kerner scored two goals, and the Lady Plainsmen (11-6) allowed one over the final 25 minutes. Kaylee Rickert had two goals and two assists for the Eagles.

Cara Quimby picked up four goals and three assists, and Guilderland (12-4) began defense of its Class A title with a 16-4 win over Colonie.

Morgan Hardt had three goals and an assist for the Lady Dutch, who host Shenendehowa Thursday.

Maria Zinter struck for six goals, Ann Mahoney and Molly Kern both had three goals and two assists, and Saratoga Springs recorded a 19-9 Class A win over Columbia.

Gabby Childrose and Caroline Hirt scored three goals apiece to lead the Blue Devils.

Emma Hardy piled up nine goals and two assists to lift defending Class C champion Albany Academy past Hoosick Falls, 20-6, in quarterfinal action.
