Jordan Bernacet went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles as Schenectady beat Amsterdam, 7-2, Saturday in their Big 10 baseball finale.

Zach Schellenger added two hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Patriots, who finished second in the Big 10 at 12-4 and 13-6 overall.

Justin Decker won his sixth game of the season as CBA bested Troy, 11-6.

Decker also drove in four runs with a two-run homer and a pair of singles.

Corey Hommel pitched six solid innings to help Shenendehowa down Queensbury, 3-1, in a matchup of league champions.

Hommel struck out nine in his six innings, with Bryan Warzek getting the final three outs for the 19-1 Plainsmen.

Kyle McAlonie’s leadoff triple sparked a two-run first inning for Shenendehowa, which saw Josh Hayner drive in two runs.

Logan Akins finished with six hits — four for extra bases — and eight RBI to lead Glens Falls to the championship in the 26th Phil Waring Memorial Tournament.

Akins went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a triple and five RBI as the Indians beat host Saratoga Central Catholic, 14-3, in the first round. He had a double and two singles, and drove in three more runs as Glens Falls topped Schuylervillle, 7-4, in the final.

Schuylerville (16-3) opened by beating Watervliet, 6-3, as Clayton Patrick had two hits and two runs batted in.

Saratoga defeated Watervliet, 9-1, in the consolation game, as sophomore Joe Schmidt threw a four-hitter.

J.R. Hmura had three hits and three RBI for the 16-3 Saints.

Catholic Central scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to top Albany Academy, 6-2, in a non-league game. Jack Engster had a triple and knocked in three runs for the Brothers.

Connor Morgan had two hits for the 14-4 Cadets.

Brad Smith threw a five-hitter and struck out 10 to win his seventh game of the season as Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville beat Galway, 5-3, in the Western Athletic Conference.

Kevin Smith and Austin Lawrence hit seventh-inning home runs for Columbia in a 6-3 non-league loss to Mamaroneck. The Blue Devils are 13-6.

Peru scored seven runs in the eighth inning to beat South Glens Falls, 12-5.

CBA built a 10-0 halftime lead and beat Schenectady, 18-1, in the first round of the Class A sectional tournament.

Don Vivian scored three goals and assisted on three others, and Ryan O’Hagan finished with three goals and a pair of assists for the Brothers.

Ethan Szemansco had the Schenectady goal.

Four different players had a pair of goals as Colonie eliminated Columbia, 11-1.

Joe Mineau (three assists), Chris West, Khyan Gaddy and Sean Ryan all finished with two goals for the Garnet Raiders.

Brendan Purcell had the Columbia goal.

Alex Fron had three goals, and Danny Fiaci totaled a goal and five assists to get LaSalle past Bethlehem, 10-9.

James Mackrell led the Eagles with three goals.
