Kirstyn Alonzo threw a three-hitter and drove in a pair of runs Friday, lifting Mechanicville past Tamarac, 4-2, in a Section II Class B semifinal.

The third-seeded Lady Raiders also got two hits and two RBI from Erin Maloney, and Jami Frosell had three singles as 16-4 Mechanicville advanced to Wednesday’s championship game at Veeder Park.

Mechanicville will play top-seeded Chatham, which edged Greenville, 2-1.

Top-seeded Cohoes ended the season of Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons, 5-0, in Class BB.

Bryanna Holdridge hit a home run, double and single in support of freshman pitcher Isabelle Dechiaro as the 19-3 Lady Tigers moved to a Wednesday final against Colonial rival Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, the No. 2 seed.

Ravena got a one-hitter from Haley Irvis in beating third-seeded Schalmont, 3-0. Irvis struck out 12 in beating Schalmont for the second time this season, giving up only a single to losing pitcher Lauren Mahar.

Teller Wood drove in a second-inning run, and Ashley Houk singled in two runs in the third for 15-5 Ravena.

Top-seeded Shenendehowa scored seven first-inning runs to put away Shaker, 10-2, in Class AA.

Kelly O’Gorman singled, doubled and homered, and both Brook Zeller and Nicole McCarvill had three singles for 18-3 Shenendehowa.

Hailey Pechtel’s RBI single capped a four-run fifth inning as Bethlehem edged defending “AA” champ Guilderland, 5-4.

K.K. Palmerino and Carrie Maniccia also drove in runs for the 12-9, fifth-seeded Lady Eagles. Bethlehem plays Shenendehowa in a 4 p.m. semi Wednesday at Veeder Park.

Second-seeded Columbia and No. 3 Colonie both moved to the other Class AA semi at Veeder.

Maddie Burns threw a three-hit, 10-strikeout shutout as Columbia beat Saratoga Springs, 3-0. Sammy Hart singled in a run in the second inning, and a second run scored on a fielder’s choice for 17-4 Columbia.

Nia Moore’s sacrifice fly scored Katie Kennedy in the fourth after Kennedy hit a triple.

Colonie advanced with a 5-3 win over Niskayuna, shaking off a three-run homer from Niskayuna’s Stacy Gordon in the first inning.

Hannah Mochrie went 2-for-3 with a home run and double, Mary Waterman doubled, singled and knocked in two runs, and Marisa Sholtes tripled and drove in a run for 12-5 Colonie.

Defending champ Troy moved to the Class A semis with a 7-0 victory over Hudson Falls.

Hunter Levesque gave up two hits and struck out eight, and had three hits, including a home run, at the plate for 19-1 Troy.

Levesque, Destiny Wierzbicki and Alina Germinerio all drove in two runs for the top-seeded winners, who play Queensbury in Wednesday’s semifinals.

Averill Park, the second seed, got a one-hitter from Brittany Meca in knocking out Glens Falls, 6-0.

The 17-2 Lady Warriors scored five runs in the sixth inning to break the game open.

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake at South Glens Falls game was postponed to this morning at 10 at Moreau Rec.

Top-seeded Duanesburg had no trouble getting to the Class C semis, rolling over Western Athletic Conference South rival Schoharie, 24-2.

Rachel Gamache went 4-for-4 and drove in five runs, hitting a home run, double and two singles. Jenna Lees added a grand slam and two singles, and Sydney Foland contributed three hits for the 19-2 Lady Eagles.

Waterford-Halfmoon drew Duanesburg in the next round after beating Lake George, 10-1.

Winning pitcher Dana Julian gave up three hits, and knocked in three runs. Alex Lefebvre went 2-for-4 and scored three runs, and Ashley Lefebvre was 3-for-4 and scored three runs for the 16-4 Lady Fordians.

Sixth-seeded Greenwich, the three-time defending “C” champ, eliminated No. 3 Maple Hill, 8-2. Alexis Case broke a 2-2 tie with a three-run homer in the fifth inning. Ali Beck added a two-run single for the Witches.

Hoosic Valley, the No. 2 seed, gets Wasaren League rival Greenwich in the semis after an 18-0 win over Rensselaer. Lauren Madigan had three hits and drove in five runs, and Taylor Cox had four hits and three RBI to back Tracy Madigan’s one-hitter.

Loudonville Christian School beat Fort Edward, 9-5, in a Class D semi, scoring once in the fifth to break a 5-5 tie and tacking on three runs in the sixth.

Kristan Hannay hit a pair of triples and was on four four LCS players to drive in two runs.
