The Saratoga County Independence Party announced its endorsements for the 2014 elections.
Among them were state senators Kathleen Marchione and Hugh Farley and Assemblyman James Tedisco, all Republicans seeking re-election.
Republican Steve Stallmer was endorsed for the vacant 113th Assembly District seat.
Republican Andrew Jarosh was endorsed to replace the current county treasurer, who is retiring.
In local races, the Independence Party endorsed John Fantauzzi for Ballston town justice, Kurt Mausert for Saratoga town justice and Daphne Jordan for an open seat on the Halfmoon Town Board.
“We were looking for candidates who are aware of the long-term fiscal challenges facing the county, now that we will be competing with other venues in the region for gaming, tourism and economic development,” county party Chairman Eddy Miller said.
