The New York Racing Association will host a three-day job fair next month for those interested in working at Saratoga Race Course for the summer meet.
Jobs to be filled include security, ushers, parking attendants, utility workers, turf work and general labor, retail clerks, hosts/hostesses, waitstaff, bartenders, cooks, prep cooks, food service helpers, cashiers, porters and barbacks, food service supervisors, counter clerks, pari-mutuel betting clerks and giveaway helpers.
The 2014 summer meet runs July 18 to Sept. 1
Interviews will be held at the Carousel near the East Avenue gate from 2 to 6 p.m. June 12 and 13, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 14. Interviews for Shake Shack and El Verano Taqueria positions with Union Square Events will be conducted June 12 and 13 only.
Applicants must be at least age 16 state Certified Working Papers (security guards, cashiers and pari-mutuel betting clerks must be at least 18). Betting clerks and cashiers must have significant cash-handling experience.
