Police responding to a woman threatening Child Protective Services workers were attacked themselves Thursday afternoon, suffering bites and scratches, authorities said.
Rachel E. Taylor, 30, of Victory Avenue, faces two counts of second-degree assault, felonies, as well as misdemeanor resisting arrest and menacing counts.
Taylor is accused of scratching Officer Bradley Carlton in the face, causing deep cuts, according to papers filed in court. She is also accused of biting Officer Aaron Lang in the hand, causing a cut and bleeding.
Both officers were treated at Ellis Hospital. Carlton’s injuries required stitches to close, according to papers.
