Schenectady man allegedly put knife to woman's throat

A man put a pocket knife to a woman’s throat and grabbed her neck, violating an order of protection

A man put a pocket knife to a woman’s throat and grabbed her neck, violating an order of protection late Thursday, authorities said.

Craig S. Walker, 27, of Eighth Avenue, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, along with misdemeanor obstruction of breathing, assault and menacing.

Walker is accused of causing a small cut to the woman’s neck with the knife and then restriction her breathing by putting his hands around her neck at his residence, according to papers filed in court.

The woman had an order of protection against him, allowing him to be with her, but ordering him not to commit a crime against her, according to papers.
