The Fulton County Federal Credit Union is changing its name to the First Choice Financial Federal Credit Union. The name change has been approved by the National Credit Union Administration and will take effect Monday.
According to the credit union, the name change is the result of research and evaluation of the marketplace that determined the new name “more accurately reflects and identifies with the members and communities they serve as a whole."
FCFCU bills itself as a full-service financial institution, serving people who live, work, worship, attend school or have a business in Fulton, Montgomery and parts of Hamilton counties.
“FCFCU members are and always will be the most important reason for our success,” Timothy R. Myers, president and CEO of FCFCU, said in a statement. “The credit union’s name may be changing but our employees and the high level of personal service that members have come to know and trust, will continue as always.”
