State police arrested a Greenfield Center man on a slew of charges Sunday after he allegedly rammed his truck into another pickup as troopers were investigating a nearby domestic altercation.
Joseph Golden, 43, was charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, five counts of reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child, felony driving while intoxicated and a number of other violations. He was arraigned on the charges in Wilton Town Court and sent to the Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
State police were responding to a domestic incident involving Golden on Northern Pines Road, after receiving an initial report of his involvement. Golden had left the scene in his truck, but returned shortly after troopers arrived to conduct interviews, according to investigators.
Troopers said Golden intentionally rammed his pickup into the back of another truck while they were standing in front of it with four individuals, including a 13-year-old. The parked truck was pushed forward and everyone had to move to avoid being struck by it, investigators said.
Golden fled the scene and allegedly struck another vehicle on Ballard Road before troopers were able to catch up to him and take him into custody.
Golden is scheduled to reappear in court Thursday.
