A Schenectady man broke a woman’s skull with a baseball bat late Saturday, authorities said.
Dustin Samuels, 29, of Turner Avenue, faces charges of first-degree assault, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree strangulation, all felonies.
He is accused of hitting the victim with the bat at another Turner Avenue address just after 11 p.m. He is also accused of restraining her and choking her to the point of unconsciousness, according to papers filed in court.
Samuels is accused of fleeing the scene as officers investigated. He was soon found hiding in a neighboring yard, according to papers.
