A Halfmoon man was arrested Thursday on a charge of third-degree grand larceny in connection with alleged unemployment fraud, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Douglas R. Imler, 44, of Squire Lane, was arrested after a joint investigation between the Sheriff’s Office and the state Department of Labor.

Deputies said that between March 2012 and July 2013, Imler received $8,032 in unemployment insurance benefits even though he was employed.

He posted bail in Halfmoon Town Court, deputies said, but was subsequently turned over to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding family court warrant.
