A boil water order issued for several blocks in the village of Scotia has been lifted, the Schenectady County Department of Environmental Health said today.

The order was issued Wednesday night after a water main valve broke. The order affected street numbers 1 through 100 Mohawk Avenue (excluding numbers 32 and 40); street numbers 104, 106 and 108 North Ballston Avenue; 102 Glen Ave.; 2 through 22 Schonowee Avenue; 3 and 5 Livingston Avenue; and 7 through 73 Washington Avenue.

As a precaution, residents at those addresses are advised to flush all water lines for three to five minutes before using them again.
