A Stillwater man was arrested as a fugitive for allegedly deserting the Army, Stillwater police said.
Jeremy J. McCoy, 22, formerly of Olean, was arrested Friday on a felony fugitive warrant after police received information he was living in the Stillwater area.
Police said they were able to associate a vehicle with him, and stopped it while he was driving it on Hudson Avenue. He was taken into custody without incident.
He was taken to the Albany County Jail pending Army proceedings. He was also charged with misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle after it was determined that his license was suspended, police said.
