Montgomery County Executive Matt Ossenfort confirmed Monday that the developers behind a proposed casino in Amsterdam will move forward with their plans. This comes days after the state Gaming Commission's casino siting board denied the teams request to amend the casino application guidelines.
The proposed casino's operator and developer, Clairvest Group Inc. and Great Canadian Gaming Corp., originally stated that to move forward with their plans they would need a $25 million reduction in the casino licensing fee and a 60 day extension on the application deadline. The application deadline is June 30.
The siting board denied their request on Friday.
