Glens Falls woman accused of driving while impaired with infant in car

State police arrested a Glens Falls woman for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and pos

State police arrested a Glens Falls woman for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and possessing heroin after she was stopped with her infant child in the car on the Northway on Tuesday.

Nicole T. Costin, 26, was charged with felony driving while ability impaired by drugs under Leandra’s Law. She was also charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Troopers stopped Costin’s 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix around 8 p.m. and determined she was impaired by drug use. Her 1-year-old child was in the vehicle at the time.

Upon her arrest, investigators also uncovered several envelopes containing heroin. Costin was sent to the Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond.
