A Malta woman faces two felony charges after an altercation Monday night with two sheriff’s deputies

A Malta woman faces two felony charges after an altercation Monday night with two sheriff’s deputies, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said.

Victoria L. Taylor, 18, of Knabner Road, was arrested on two counts of second-degree assault, as well as a misdemeanor count of obstructing government administration.

Taylor is accused of assaulting two deputies responding to a disturbance complaint at a residence on Route 50 in Wilton. The complaint, received about 9 p.m., involved the retrieval of personal property.

While two deputies were at the scene, they said Taylor became combative and kicked both officers, causing what appeared to be minor injuries to both. Both deputies were treated at Saratoga Hospital and released.

Taylor appeared before Wilton Town Justice David Towne, and was sent to the Saratoga County jail on $2,500 cash bail or a $5,000 bond.
