City police broke up a marijuana growing operation on Liz Ann Drive earlier this month, seizing roughly 20 pounds of the drug, $20,000 in cash and more than 100 plants in various stages of growth, police said.
City police investigators along with members of the Capital District Drug Enforcement Task Force raided the home following a month-long narcotics investigation. Arrested were Craig Farnsworth, 60, and Marisa Farnsworth, 52, who both were charged with a felony count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of growing marijuana without a license.
In addition to seizing marijuana and hash, authorities also grabbed several pieces of equipment used to grow the plants. Both Farnsworths were arraigned and released after posting $1,500 bail.
