Proctors received approval on Monday for a $60,000 grant to support the launch of the theater’s mark

Proctors received approval on Monday for a $60,000 grant to support the launch of the theater’s marketing campaign in partnership with Cirque Eloize.

The state funds approved by Empire State Development will be used for television and radio ads promoting the Cirque Eloize show at Proctors, which will be making its debut in August.

The Albany Institute of History & Art was also approved for a $21,519 grant to support its marketing plan for GE Presents: The Mystery of the Albany Mummies exhibition.

In all, Empire State Development approved nearly $2.5 million in funding for 13 projects under the Market NY Grant Program, which seeks to expand the tourism industry and promote attractions and events statewide.

Kenneth Adams, president and CEO of Empire State Development, said the funding would ensure that the tourism industry continues to thrive and create jobs across the state.
