Troy police increased patrols Monday night after a series of fires were set in the city over the weekend and one person was fatally stabbed.
“The series of events involving criminal activity over the course of this weekend are very unfortunate and will not be tolerated in the city of Troy,” said Mayor Lou Rosamilia in a statement.
He also held a press conference at which he urged witnesses to come forward. He said the police and fire departments were working to “bring justice to the individuals who are guilty of this unthinkable behavior.”
Witnesses can call the Police Department at 270-4426 or the Fire Department at 270-4471.
