Downtown Saratoga Springs is abuzz with activity as a long line of people wait for former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to show up just after noon for a book signing at Northshire Bookstore.
The line of people waiting for Clinton started outside the bookstore on Broadway and stretched an entire city block down Caroline Street less than an hour before her scheduled appearance at 12:15 p.m.
Protesters were spotted walking along Broadway outside Kilwins carrying signs that read “Hillary Remember Benghazi?!! It Matters!!” and “White Water Witch What Difference does it Make?!!”
Tickets went fast to see the former first lady and New York senator today. She will be signing copies of her memoir “Hard Choices.” Customers must have a ticket, wristband and the book to enter the line. There is a limit of one signature per customer.
The former presidential contender launched her memoir last month with a flurry of signing events from coast to coast. Some have likened the book tour to a trial run of what may be an upcoming presidential campaign.
