OAKLAND, Maine — An 80-pound domestic pig that chased children and adults on a walking trail in Maine during three weeks of freedom has been nabbed.

Officials in Oakland closed the trail after the runaway pig scared two children walking on it between Messalonskee middle and high schools and then chased a high school student and attacked a woman.

The Morning Sentinel reports the 4-month-old black and white pig's freedom came to an end Tuesday. The newspaper says Oakland's animal control officer and an expert from the U.S. Department of Agriculture tracked, baited and captured the pig.
