Jeffrey Rosenthal of Amsterdam and Mayfield has been appointed to the board of the Hudson River-Black River Regulating District.
“I’m humbled by the opportunity,” Rosenthal said. “I know that I will give my best effort to fulfill my responsibilities as a board member.”
Rosenthal is a graduate of Alfred University and received his juris doctor from Vermont Law School. From 1986-91, he was a Montgomery County assistant district attorney. In 1990, he also became a Fulton County assistant district attorney. From 1991-95, he was an Amsterdam City Court judge.
In 1995, he was appointed first assistant counsel in the Governor’s Office of Regulatory Reform. In 2004, he was promoted to deputy counsel. From October 2010 to March 2011, he was the agency’s head. He was then appointed to the Division of the Budget, Regulatory Review Unit, and worked there from March 2011 until his retirement.
