Saratoga Springs police and state troopers raided a Wilton apartment Wednesday evening and arrested two men on drug charges following an investigation into illegal narcotics allegedly being sold there.
Demetrius L. Abdur-Rahman — also known as Demetrius Anderson — 24, of Saratoga Springs, was charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. John J. O’Keefe, 23, of Gansevoort, was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of marijuana.
City police investigators and the state police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at Building 3 at 166 Perry Road around 8 p.m., stemming from a probe into the use and sale of illegal drugs at the apartment. Police said Abdur-Rahman was found with numerous Oxycodone pills.
Several other controlled substances typically prescribed by doctors were also found at the residence.
Abdur-Rahman was arraigned in Wilton Town Court and sent to the Saratoga County jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail. Additional charges are possible.
O’Keefe was released on an appearance ticket.
