Two accused of vandalism with pellet gun in Montgomery County

Two men have been accused of using pellet guns to vandalize property throughout the town.

Two men have been accused of using pellet guns to vandalize property throughout the town.

Brandon M. Akey, 19, of Johnstown, and Collin J. Hanson, 19, of Fonda, were arrested Thursday and accused of shooting from a vehicle and damaging farm equipment, road signs and vehicles.

Akey and Hanson were each charged with three felony counts of second-degree criminal mischief, two misdemeanor counts of making a punishable false written statement and a misdemeanor count of third-degree criminal mischief.

Each was arraigned in the Glen Town Court and sent to the Montgomery County jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. They are scheduled to return to court at 2 p.m. Thursday.
