Two Schenectady teens are accused of stealing money, credit cards and electronic equipment from a Glenville home and fleeing on bicycles.
Glenville police said Eysiah Byrd, 16, and Shameil McCoy, 17, were arrested after officers saw them leave a Maple Avenue residence on bicycles. Officers found the teens to be in possession of the items they are accused of stealing from the home.
Police said one of the bicycles had been stolen from a Rexford residence; that theft is being handled by state police.
Byrd and McCoy were charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, possession of burglar tools and petit larceny.
They were arraigned in Glenville town court and sent to Schenectady County jail with bail set at $50,000 or $100,000 bond and are due back in court Tuesday.
