A man from Florida was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony, on Friday.
Robert W. Browne, 60, of Sarasota, Florida was stopped Friday night by Guilderland police.
According to the police press release, Browne appeared to be confused and was unresponsive to officers. Browne failed a field sobriety test and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.
During an investigation, Browne was found to be in the possession of a Taurus .32 H&R Magnum revolver, and a quantity of ammunition for the revolver.
Browne was arraigned in Guilderland Town Court on Saturday and sent to Albany County Jail without bail.
Browne is due back in court on Aug. 21.
