A city man tried to run his ex-girlfriend off the road Saturday evening, authorities said.
Jason T. Tatum, 31, of Union Street, is accused of trying to strike the woman’s car with his multiple times just after 10 p.m. Saturday on Waverly Place. The woman was uninjured. She had an order of protection against Tatum.
He was pulled over and arrested a short time later on Gillespie Street, near Union Street, and found to be intoxicated, police said.
Tatum faces one count each of first-degree criminal contempt, driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, felonies. He also faces one count each of second-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree menacing, misdemeanors.
