A Florida man was charged Friday with possessing a gun.
Robert W. Browne, 60, of Sarasota was stopped by Guilderland police, who said in a news release that he appeared to be confused and was unresponsive to officers. He failed a field sobriety test and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs as well as second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony.
During an investigation, Browne was found to be in the possession of a Taurus .32 H&R Magnum revolver and a quantity of ammunition.
He was arraigned in Guilderland Town Court on Saturday and sent to Albany County Jail without bail.
Browne is due back in court Thursday.
