Two Saratoga Springs men are accused of breaking into three Route 50 businesses and stealing money and merchandise.
Following a weeklong investigation, Glenville police arrested Tyler Lester, 20, and Cyrus B. Oechler, 22, on Monday and charged them each with two counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of petty larceny.
Police said Lester and Oechler entered through the back of the businesses on Aug. 12 by removing screens and prying windows open. Once inside, they stole money and other items, police said.
The pair is also accused of committing burglaries in Ballston and Broadalbin. Glenville police worked closely with state police and Saratoga County sheriff’s deputies to recover stolen property and make the arrest.
Lester and Oechler were arraigned in Glenville Town Court and sent to the Schenectady County jail without bail. They are due back in court Tuesday.
