Waterford man admits promoting prostitution

A Waterford man will go to prison for promoting prostitution in his hometown.

A Waterford man will go to prison for promoting prostitution in his hometown.

Kevin Gervasio, 28, of Clinton Street, was sentenced by Saratoga County Court Judge Jerry Scarano to 11⁄2 to 3 years in prison after earlier pleading guilty to attempted third-degree promoting prostitution.

Gervasio was arrested by Waterford police in August 2013, after police investigated neighbor complaints about prostitution in the Clinton Street neighborhood.

Also Wednesday, Dana M. Goossens, 23, of Louden Road, Saratoga Springs, was sentenced to three years in prison and two years of post-release supervision. Goossens pleaded guilty in June to fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. She was arrested after making a drug sale in Saratoga Springs on Oct. 28, 2013.
