A New York City man sold counterfeit tickets to a country music concert at SPAC Thursday as part of a larger fake ticket selling operation, Albany County Sheriff's officials said.

The man sold the tickets to an undercover sheriff's investigator looking into reports of fake concert tickets being sold at area malls, officials said.

Cy Ismael Rivera, 23, was arrested and faces charges that include felony first-degree scheme to defraud.

Sheriff's officials arrested Rivera at the entrance to Dick's Sporting Goods at Crossgates Mall. The fake tickets were for tonight's Jason Aldean concert at SPAC.

The investigator ordered six tickets from Rivera and Rivera asked to meet at the sporting goods store. Rivera then sold the tickets and was arrested.

Rivera is believed to be part of a large scale organization operating out of New York City. Anyone who believes they have information or was a victim is asked to contact the Albany County Sheriff's tip line at 518-720-8075.

In all, Rivera faces the felony scheme count and misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, trademark counterfeiting and attempted petty larceny.

Rivera was arraigned and ordered held without bail.
