An 84-year-old man had to be pulled from his car after it rolled over Saturday morning on the Northway in the town of Moreau.
State police said the man, who was not identified, crashed his small white car on the southbound off-ramp at Exit 17 shortly before 11 a.m. Troopers responding to 911 calls found the man trapped behind the steering wheel.
Moreau and Wilton firefighters worked to safely free him from the car. The man was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to Glens Falls Hospital with a head injury and minor cuts and scrapes, troopers said.
Troopers determined unsafe speed was the primary cause of the accident. The exit ramp remained open during the rescue.
