An Amsterdam man has been indicted on several charges resulting from a 2013 car crash that left three people dead.
David W. Bain, 69, was indicted Thursday by a Montgomery County grand jury on three counts each of second-degree manslaughter and criminal negligent homicide, as well as single counts of second-degree assault, reckless driving and a failure to keep right.
Bain is accused of crossing double solid yellow lines while driving east on Route 67 in the town of Amsterdam on March 10, 2013, crashing into a vehicle driven by Tanya Sleight. Sleight and two other passengers in her vehicle died of injuries sustained in the crash.
Bain was arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at his residence. He was arraigned in Montgomery County Court and sent to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail.
