Schenectady County Leg to vote on new election commissioner

The county Legislature will hold a special meeting tonight to vote on the next election commissioner

SCHENECTADY — The county Legislature will hold a special meeting tonight to vote on the next election commissioner.

The county Democratic Committee has recommended Amy Hild, who is currently a deputy commissioner. Her term would only go to the end of the year.

The post was vacated by Brian Quail early this month. He is now deputy counsel to the state Board of Elections.

Quail became a commissioner in 2006 and stayed through the primary election last week.

His salary was $90,000.
