Sunnyside Bridge in Scotia has reopened to traffic after being closed nearly two months for repairs, Mayor Kris Kastberg said today.

Town & County Bridge and Rail of Albany was awarded a $296,758 contract to complete the work, which entailed repaving the road and sidewalk.

The bridge carries traffic over railroad tracks and serves as a shortcut from Route 50 in Scotia to Freemans Bridge Road in Glenville.

The 365-foot-long bridge bridge was built in 1976.
