A city man tried to rob a check-cashing store by passing a note to a clerk recently, authorities said.
Bomani H. LaViscount, 28, of Pleasant Street, is accused of passing the clerk a note at Regina Check Cashing, 1249 State St., Oct. 30 and threatening the teller. He apparently got away with nothing and was arrested by police shortly afterward, according to papers filed in court.
LaViscount faces one count of third-degree attempted robbery, a felony, as well as one count of resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
