A trio missing for a short period in the Lisha Kill Preserve Friday night has been located.
A rescue team was dispatched to the old growth forest around 6 p.m. off of 2564 Rosendale Road, according to the Niskayuna Fire Department. A mother, 6-year-old and third individual were reported missing.
The missing were found less than 45 minutes later. Before they were spotted, rescue workers were contemplating bringing in a search helicopter as temperatures fell.
All subjects and personnel were reported out of the woods by 6:53 p.m.
The property is owned by the Nature Conservancy.
