A Gloversville man was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in the city Wednesday morning, according to police.

Todd M. Hidde, 42, was traveling north on Bleecker Street on his Harley Davidson around 11:30 a.m. when he collided with a pickup truck at the intersection with Church Street, according to a news release from the Gloversville Police Department.

Police say Hidde was transported to Albany Medical Center with “serious personal injuries” and remains in intensive care.

The driver of the truck, identified as 55-year-old Carol J. Richer, of Gloversville, did not report any injuries.

Richer consented to field sobriety tests and police said there was no immediate indication of drug or alcohol use. She also consented to a blood test, which will be analyzed by the New York State Police Forensic Investigation Unit.

An accident reconstruction team from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of the crash.

No traffic tickets have been issued, police said.

So far, no cause has been stated. Police said the investigation will remain open pending the results of the lab analysis.
