More than 40,000 books will be available for perusing Saturday, May 2 at the Friends of the Schenectady County Public Library's annual Spring Used Book Sale.
The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside and outside the library at 99 Clinton St. and offers text books, travel volumes, children’s books, cookbooks, biographies, self-help books and all types of fiction including mysteries and classics. CDs and books on tape will also be sold.
Most hardcover books are priced at $1 or 50 cents, or three for $1 for paperbacks. Books not sold Saturday can be purchased from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the discounted $2-per-bag rate.
More than 150 volunteers assist with the sale, which benefits the nine branches of the county library system.
