7 charged in Schenectady prostitution sting

Schenectady police arrested seven women in a Tuesday prostitution sting.

Schenectady police arrested seven women in a Tuesday prostitution sting.

Charged with prostitution, a class B misdemeanor, were Alicia Levielle, 30, of Schenectady; Natasha McElroy, 34, of Schenectady; Wendy Brown, 32, of Schenectady; Antoinette Bestvina, 48, of Alexander; Susan Warner, 43, of Schenectady; Joselyn Woodard, 28, of Greenwich; and Charlotte Ashby, 26, of Schenectady.

Ashby was also charged with resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor, after leading officers on a brief foot chase, police said.

The women were being held in the Schenectady city lockup awaiting Wednesday morning arraignment.
