A homeless man is accused of trying to sell heroin at a Rotterdam park.

Juan O. Parham, 32, was charged Wednesday with third-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a felony, Rotterdam police said.

He was arrested at around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eunice Esposito Park on Fayette Drive after police said they found him with six packages of heroin that he planned to sell.

Parham was arraigned in Rotterdam town court and sent to Schenectady County jail with bail set at $30,000.

The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible, police said.
