Mamaroneck defeated Saratoga Springs 9-2 in the Class AA state baseball championship game Saturday at Pete Sylvester Park on the campus of Union/Endicott High School.

Saratoga's best-ever season concludes at 20-6.

After a thrilling 6-5 semifinal win in nine innings, the Blue Streaks ran out of gas. They used three pitchers in the finale, but none were effective after spending so much emotion in the first game.

Danny Coleman scored one run and drove in another for the Blue Streaks.

In the semiifnals, Saratoga Springs rallied from two runs down with two outs in the seventh inning and then scored the winning run in the top of the ninth to best Orchard Park 6-5.

Jake Fauler drove in the winning run, and Jack Herman went 4-for-5 with two RBIs for Saratoga Springs.
