A raid Tuesday morning on the city’s Northside resulted in two arrests, as well as the seizure of heroin and firearms, police said.

The raid took place at 2012 Avenue A just after 6 a.m. Arrested on multiple felony counts each were Alexander Marcano, 36, and Robert D. Jones, 38, both of 2012 Avenue A.

The investigation centered around alleged drug dealing from the residence, police said. Detectives, along with the department’s Special Operations Squad, raided the home.

In addition to heroin, police seized two rifles and two shotguns. Neither man was allowed to possess firearms because of previous convictions, according to papers filed in court.

Marcano faces five counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies. He also faces four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felonies.

Jones faces seven counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one count each of fourth-degree and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies. He also faces four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
