A male was shot early Sunday on Schenectady Street — the same street where two other men were shot in recent days and an anti-violence rally was held Friday.
Around 1 a.m. Sunday, a 27-year-old man was shot outside 532 Schenectady St. in the Hamilton Hill neighborhood and taken to Albany Medical Center, according to police.
Police say the victim, who has not been identified, was shot in the chest multiple times. He was in stable condition afterward; no arrests were immediately made and no further information was available Sunday.
Kusaan Tolliver was shot and killed in the same location July 27. Also, a male victim was shot there and survived July 23. There have been no arrests made in either incident.
The shooting Sunday morning came after a stop-the-violence rally was held Friday on Schenectady Street with more than 50 people attending, including local residents, families of victims, community leaders and politicians.
