Mike Leveroni didn’t score a touchdown, but he ran for 228 yards and led a dominating rushing attack

AVERIL PARK — Mike Leveroni didn’t score a touchdown, but he ran for 228 yards and led a dominating rushing attack in Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake’ 47-7 triumph over Averill Park in a Class A football game Friday night.

Johnny O’Donnell ran for a pair of touchdowns, and the Spartans also got rushing scores from Ryan Agresta, Josh Craig, Jackson Lindberg and Riley Holzman.

John Clayton hooked up with Jacob Shippey for a 16-yard scoring strike to spark a 21-point opening quarter.

NISKAYUNA — Tyler Dobbs scored with 3:32 left in the third quarter to propel Green Tech past the Silver Warriors.

James Holmes threw a 31-yard scoring pass to Raki Johnson, and Holmes also ran in for the two-point conversion in the first quarter to put Green Tech ahead 8-0.

Jake Shepard got the Silver Warriors on the board six minutes later on a five-yard TD run.

Ahzir Turner ran for 68 yards on nine carries for Green Tech, and Holmes completed 5 of 14 passes for 77 yards. Shephard was 3-for-3 for 38 yards passing for the Silver Warriors.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS — The Bulldogs returned an interception 40 yards for a score during a 14-point fourth quarter to beat the Mighty Warriors.

Nate Stillson threw a pair of touchdown pases and also ran for a two-yard score to lead Mohonasen.

TROY — The Flying Horses scored two touchdowns in the opening quarter and held off the Spartans.

John Germinerio ran for one touchdown and passed for two more to lead the Flying Horses. Brett Rodriguez scored on a 31-yard run for Queensbury.

Kondo caught five passes for 156 yards. The Blue Streaks rolled up 431 yards of total offense, and Dakota Harvey scored three times for Saratoga.
