State Police are investigating an act of vandalism believed to have occurred overnight in the state-owned Lafayette Park in Albany.

A passerby observed an expletive and an anti military slogan spray painted on the newly renovated Albany County Vietnam Veterans Memorial and called police.

Workers from the City of Albany’s Department of General Services responded to clean up. The State Police is asking anyone with information to contact SP Capital at 474-5330.
