SCHENECTADY — Yale’s Phoebe Staenz scored 16 seconds into overtime to give the Bulldogs a 2-1 win over the Union women at Messa Rink on Saturday afternoon, pushing the Dutchwomen’s winless streak to 33 games, which ties the Division I women’s hockey record set by Union from 2006-07.

Goalie Melissa Black made 43 saves for the Dutchwomen.

Jacyn Reeves put Union (0-6-2 ECAC Hockey, 0-12-4 overall) ahead 1-0 just 45 seconds into the game, assisted by Kathryn Tomaselli.

Janelle Ferrara tied the game at 19:53 in the second period, and Hanna Mandl stopped 22 shots for Yale (3-2-1, 4-7-1).

The Dutchwomen dressed only 16 skaters — the usual complement of six defensemen, but only 10 of the usual 12 forwards.
