A 30-year-old Clifton Park man was killed early Sunday morning in a car/pedestrian accident on Route 9, north of Kinns Road in the town, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

The man -- Patrick T. Duff, 702 London Square -- was pronounced dead at the scene by County Coroner Daniel J. Kuhn, police said. The accident occurred at 3:44 this morning.

Police said deputies arrived at the scene and identified the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle as Maria L. Lentini, 30, of 126 Circular St. in Saratoga Springs. Lentini was driving a 2006 BMW two-door sedan, police said.

The Sheriff's Office said there was no evidence of Lentini being intoxicated or impaired. Details of the whereabouts of Duff and Lentini before the crash are being investigated.

Police are asking for help in locating the driver of a second vehicle -- believed to be a full-sized SUV -- that was behind Lentini’s car on Route 9 at approximately 3:30 a.m. and might have witnessed the accident.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (518) 885-6761.
