Santa, sledding, snow and shopping are among December’s diversions.
St. Nick and his legion of true believers have the most fun during the Christmas season. Playing in the snow with sleds and saucers is also an early winter highlight.
Shopping for gifts and parties can be the most challenging part of the holiday month. Packed parking lots, crowded stores and long lines at cash registers can convince people to either shop early in the morning or late at night. Or maybe not at all — in an era where online shopping has become more popular.
Still, there seem to be more smiles around than frowns as December grows colder and Big Days get closer. And who doesn’t like the first snowfall of the season?
